Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the information you give us when you ask for a landscaping quote in Greater Los Angeles — what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or get it deleted.
Who we are
The Landscapers LA is a landscaping contractor operating across Greater Los Angeles from 465 N Rodeo Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, with additional dispatch locations in Rolling Hills Estates and Tarzana. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Landscapers LA.
We are the business responsible for the personal information described below. You can reach us at in**@*************la.com or (323) 792-0166.
What we collect
Almost everything we hold about you, you typed into a form or told us on the phone. Specifically:
Information you give us
Our quote form asks for six things, five of which are required:
| Field | Required | Why we ask |
|---|---|---|
| Full name | Yes | To know who we are talking to |
| Phone | Yes | Most quotes need one call to confirm scope |
| Yes | To send the written quote | |
| Property address | Yes | To confirm we cover it and to plan the site visit |
| ZIP code | Yes | To route the job to the nearest crew |
| What do you need? | No | Free text — whatever you choose to tell us |
If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you say in that call or message, along with your number or address.
Information collected automatically
Our website runs on WordPress with the Elementor page builder. Like nearly every website, our server logs record the IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps of visits. WordPress and Elementor set functional cookies needed for the site to work and to prevent duplicate form submissions.
Before you publish: if the site runs Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, a chat widget or a call-tracking service, each one must be named here along with what it collects. List them in this section, or remove this note if none are installed.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your Social Security number, driver's licence number, date of birth, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data or any information about your health. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 16.
How we use it
We use what you give us to do the thing you asked us to do:
- To quote and schedule. Confirm we serve your address, arrange the site visit, prepare a written scope and price, and book the work.
- To carry out the work. Dispatch the right crew, keep visit notes on your property, and flag things we notice between visits.
- To invoice and keep records. Including records we are required to keep as a licensed California contractor.
- To answer you. Reply to questions, follow up on an estimate, and handle any complaint or warranty claim.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not rent or trade our customer list.
Calls and texts
When you give us your phone number on the quote form, you are asking us to contact you about that request. We will call or text you about your enquiry, your quote, scheduling, and the work itself.
Consent to receive calls or texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or tell whoever you speak to and we will note it on the account. Stopping texts does not stop us emailing you about a job already booked.
We do not send marketing texts or add you to a promotional SMS list.
Who else sees it
Your information reaches a small number of places, all of them in service of the job:
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our own crews and office staff | Name, address, phone, job notes | To quote, schedule and do the work |
| Our website host and form plugin (WordPress / Elementor) |
The form submission, stored in the site database | So a submission is not lost if an email fails |
| Our email provider | The submission, delivered to in**@*************la.com | To notify us that you asked for a quote |
| Rank First Labs our marketing agency |
A copy of quote-form submissions, by email | To measure which pages generate enquiries and to make sure none are missed |
| Subcontractors, where used | Only the address and scope needed for that task | Specialist work such as an engineered wall or an arborist assessment |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, a regulator, or to establish or defend a legal claim — and to our accountant or attorney in confidence. If the business is ever sold, customer records may transfer to the buyer; you would be told before that happens.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that never become jobs are kept while the enquiry is live and for a period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Records connected to work we actually performed are kept longer, because contractor, warranty and tax obligations require it.
Decide before you publish: state the actual retention periods here — for example "unconverted enquiries: 24 months" and "job records: 7 years". A policy that says "as long as necessary" and nothing else is not much of a commitment, and a specific number is easier to honour than a vague one.
You can ask us to delete an enquiry earlier. See your rights below.
Your rights
California residents have rights over personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. Some of those rights apply only to businesses above certain size thresholds, which a local contractor may not meet — but we would rather honour the requests than argue about whether we have to. You may ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and where it came from.
- Delete it, except anything we must keep for tax, warranty, licensing or legal reasons.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Stop contacting you, at any time, for any reason.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these — no worse price, no worse service, no refusal to quote.
How to ask
Email in**@*************la.com with the subject line "Privacy request", or call (323) 792-0166. We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days. To protect you, we will verify the request against information we already hold — usually the address or phone number the enquiry came from. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code §1798.83 lets residents ask about personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not share personal information for that purpose.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across other companies' websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. If we ever add advertising technology that would change that, this policy changes first.
How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions and customer records is limited to the people who need them, and accounts are individually credentialled.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes — a new category of data, a new recipient, a new purpose — will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
